Special Needs Provision

WHAT DIFFERENT SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS DO WE HAVE PROVISION FOR IN SCHOOL?

We currently support children with the following Special Educational Needs, and do so in line with the 2014 Code of Practice: ASD, Aspergers, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, speech and language, cognition and learning (Literacy and Maths), vision and hearing impairments, medical conditions (such as Type 1 diabetes, epilepsy and anaphylaxis), SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) and physical impairments, such as Cerebral Palsy.

Our teaching assistants are highly trained in specific intervention to support these needs, such as supporting precision teaching, physiotherapy, administering medicines, phonics, nurture groups and positive handling.
