Year 2 Open Event
The admissions window opens on Friday 4th November for applications for places for children starting in Year 3 in September 2023 if they are moving from an infant to a junior school. Inclusion Coffee Morning – Social Skills at Home & School
Our Inclusion Coffee Mornings continue, open to all, with a focus on Social Skills at home and school, run by Julie Fearn from Autism Derby. Julie works closely with children, parents and staff at Gayton, supporting them in and out of the classroom with their learning goals and is running this session to offer support to parents following a successful coffee morning in October.

Year 4 Trip to Tutbury Castle
We have booked a trip for Year 4 to visit Tutbury Castle on Wednesday 30th November. As you are aware, we have been learning about the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings this term in Year 4 and this trip will be a fantastic way bring to the topic to life. Christmas Jumper Day
We are also making Wednesday 7th December our Christmas Jumper Day - the children are welcome to come to school wearing their Christmas jumpers, or t-shirts, tights, hats—anything with a Christmas theme, in addition to their school uniform—along with a £2 donation for the Save the Children charity please. Christmas Dinner Day
Wednesday 7th December is Christmas Dinner Day. Lunches will only be provided for those children who have ordered them in advance and there will be no other options offered on the day. The cost of the lunch will be £2.20 and will need to be paid in advance using ScoPay. We will provide crackers to pull. On the menu this year is: roast turkey,

Christmas Discos
The School Council have requested Christmas Discos again this year. These will be held on Thursday 15th December. Lower School Disco will run from 5pm-6:15pm and Upper School Disco will run from 6:30pm–7:45pm. All children MUST be collected by an adult please. Tickets will go on sale nearer the time—please keep an eye out for details.
