Dear Parents and Carers,
You may remember our previous correspondence regarding the leadership and management of Ridgeway Infant and Gayton Junior Schools earlier this year. The governors of both schools agreed that the best course of action for both schools was to facilitate Mrs Dale and Mrs Hill as Acting Headteachers to explore the effectiveness of joint, collaborative working and how this joint working can be used to benefit both schools.
After a very successful year with many collaborative opportunities for children, families and staff, we will be looking to make a decision about the future structure of both schools in the coming academic year. The governors will decide if an appointment of a Headteacher for each school or an Executive Headteacher to lead both schools should be made.
The appointment process for Headteachers can be lengthy. It is our aim that both schools will have a permanent leadership structure in place by September 2020. We will continue to keep you updated in the new academic year.
