Pupil Premium Pupil Pack

This week we launched the start of our Pupil Premium Packs. Each year, schools receive an amount of money for each child that is on (or has ever been on) the Free School Meals register. Historically, this has been spent on funding booster groups, teachers and resources.

At Gayton, this year we are able to spend some of the money more directly on the children and families that qualify for the funding. Therefore, starting from September 2016, we will be purchasing and providing a range of products, resources and experiences for these children. It is our hope that these will have a direct impact on the children; will raise standards; will improve morale and will reduce some of the financial burden put on parents.

It is our plan to provide every child, for whom we get funding, with:

  • School uniform – two Gayton sweatshirts or cardigans; 2 white polo shirts and a pair of trousers or a skirt
  • PE kit – a white t-shirt and a pair of shorts
  • All trips paid for
  • A free book at each Book Fair (held once a term)
  • Subscription to First News – click here to find out more
  • A Gayton Book Bag and water bottle
  • A PE Bag
  • A pencil case, stationery and paper
  • A year’s supply of Omega 3 supplements – click here to find out more
  • A Kindle
  • An alarm clock

If your child is not currently receiving Free School Meals and you think you may qualify, please ask for a form in the school office and we will work with you to put in an application on your behalf.
