PSHE is a non-statutory subject. At Gayton, we tailor our PSHE programme to reflect the needs of our pupils: the programme aims to equip pupils with a sound understanding of risk and the knowledge and skills necessary to make safe and informed decisions. The programme incorporates the DfE non-compulsory Citizenship programme of study and also the Relationships and Health Education framework that was made compulsory in 2021.
