We were pleased to be able to launch our new dinner menu for September with parents and carers at the end of the summer term. This is also available here and on the school app so that you can find it each day to help you decide if you wish to order a dinner for your child or send them with sandwiches. Remember children can alternate between dinners and sandwiches whenever you like – you do not need to give us notice.
Unfortunately, our caterers informed us right at the end of term of a price increase for September which we cannot cover with the school budget. We will continue to subsidise school meals by covering production and transport costs to keep costs per meal as low as we can and the new price is still lower than other Derby schools.
From September, the price of a school dinner will increase by 20p per day to £2.60 daily, or £13 per week. Dinners should continue to be paid for in advance please, using your School Money online account. Please contact Mrs Hardisty at the email address at the top of this letter if you are still unable to access this so that you are set up for September. New Y3 parents will be invited to set up an account during the first few days of the new year.
