We launched our free Gayton Junior School app this week. Please have a good look around: the app will allow you to return permission slips, update your contact details and provide us with absence information. It will also allow us to send you key messages to keep you all up-to-date and there is an events calendar which you can download to your device!
The app will be our method of communicating with parents from now on – it is quicker and more cost effective than the previous messaging service that we had so it will allow us to communicate with you directly more often. This will be the main way to let you know about important school closures, etc. so it is important to set up the app as soon as possible.
The app is GDPR compliant, which means the ParentApp company will safeguard any information you share with them – e.g. medical information when notifying us of an absence, or dates of births on a leave of absence request form. However, if you would rather not share these details with the company, simply download the app so you get the notifications from school and continue to communicate with us in the usual way – popping into school, ringing or emailing.
If you are not able to download the app for any reason, please take a look at the troubleshooting guides in the links at the bottom of this page or get in touch the school office. If you think we may not have had your most up-to-date contact details, please email me your details—head@gaytonj.derby.sch.uk and I will update the system for you and send out a new text invitation as soon as possible.
